An off roading adventure on an epic cliffside in Utah made for the most stunning Moab elopement! | Josie and Jackie
When most people think of Moab, Utah, they think of Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and maybe even Dead Horse Point State Park. But, most probably don’t get a chance to go to some of Moab’s best hidden gems. Jackie and Josie got to experience an off-roading adventure to one of these lesser known spots for their Moab elopement!
When planning an elopement in Moab, there are a few things to consider. The first would be the time of year. I personally love spring and fall in Moab. It is usually less crowded and the weather is great! Both spring and fall are not too hot and not too cold, so it is the perfect time for a desert elopement! The next thing to consider is whether you want to go hiking or off-roading. There are certainly plenty of easy to get to locations in the national parks that you can just drive up and easily walk to. But, if you want to get off the beaten path, I highly recommend renting a Jeep or going for a hike. Off-roading and hiking will open up secluded ceremony locations, all without the crowds!
I would love to share some of my favorite lesser known locations in Moab with you. So, if you are dreaming of a desert elopement in Utah, let’s chat!
An off-roading adventure to Marlboro Point!
Jackie and Josie started their elopement day getting ready at their Airbnb in Moab before we started their off-roading adventure. They rented a PINK jeep for their day. How cool is that?! It looked so amazing in photos and completely matched their color palette! Josie and Jackie chose the true adventure route to get to their cliffside ceremony at Marlboro Point! However, there are various routes you can take to get there, although all of them require some clearance.

Moab elopement ceremony
Once we made it to Marlboro Point, Jackie and Josie read their vows to one another. It was such a special moment and no one else was around. Getting a spot like this for a private ceremony in Moab is definitely not easy, but if you put in some effort the rewards are so worth it!

Golden Hour and Sunset Portraits with Champagne Pop Celebrations!
After exchanging vows, we walked around the cliffside for some gorgeous golden hour and sunset photos. Jackie and Josie also popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate their wedding. It was a stunning November evening! Definitely keep in mind that as the sun starts to set in the fall, it can get chilly. Layers are always a good idea for desert elopements!
As the sun continued to go down, Josie and Jackie had their first dance in front of the headlights of the Jeep! It was the perfect end to their beautiful elopement day!
Congratulation, Jackie and Josie!
