Hannah and Jay | A Breckenridge Ski Engagement Session in Colorado

When Hannah and Jay reached out to me about photographing their engagement photos in Breckenridge Colorado, I was beyond excited! Why, you might ask was I more excited about this inquiry? Well, it was because they wanted to incorporate skiing into their session! If you know me, you know I absolutely love ski elopements, ski proposals, and any ski session! After chatting about their plans, I helped them put together the best Breckenridge Ski Engagement session!

Hannah and Jay got engaged on Christmas back out East where they live. They came to Colorado for a ski trip to celebrate and wanted to document fun engagement photos on the slopes and some après ski as well! They are planning their winter wedding for next year in the Adirondack Mountains. Naturally, a ski engagement session was very fitting for them as a couple! Breckenridge ski resort is where we planned their engagement photos.

A Breckenridge ski engagement session on the slopes!

First, we met at the Breck Connect gondola that takes you up to the main base area of the resort. There, we took some fun gondola photos! Once we arrived at the base area, we took the ski lift up to hit the slopes! During ski photo sessions, I always make sure that we take a minimum of two lift rides up. This way, I can take photos from behind and in front of you! We had the best time taking some ski runs and stopped for photos with the best views and among the snowy trees! There was a fresh layer of snow from the previous night and it was so perfect!

Après Ski

The best part about Hannah and Jay’s engagement session is that they turned it into a fun day of activities and not just a quick session! After enjoying some ski runs, they changed into their après ski outfits and we headed down to Main Street in Breckenridge! You can access Main Street via shuttles or a short walk from the base of the Breck Connect gondola. Main Street has so many cute and colorful buildings, so we took some photos as we walked over to Fatty’s Pizzeria for some beers and lunch!

We enjoyed lunch together, shared laughs, and celebrated their engagement! It was a great end to a very fun engagement photo session! Engagement photos can be more of an experience, and I think Hannah and Jay certainly did it right!
