How to decide on an activity
Choosing what activities you would like to include in your day depends on a few things. Some of these include, which season you are choosing to elope, the location, the gear you own or want to rent, and how much time you have. If you want an absolutely epic elopement day, I always recommend a minimum of 8 hours of photography coverage! You certainly don’t want to rush through any moment. If you are eloping in the winter, then of course you get to choose from activities like skiing, snowshoeing, and even dog sledding! Although even in spring, you can go skiing in Colorado! In the summer you can definitely go paddleboarding or canoeing!
As far as location goes, I can help you find the perfect location based on activities that you want to include. If you know you absolutely want to go kayaking, then I will help you choose locations with beautiful lakes or reservoirs. Or, we can choose activities specifically based on your location. For example, if you really want sweeping mountain views, then I would certainly recommend a hike or camping. Check out some awesome locations for Colorado elopements here.
Gear and companies for Colorado elopement activities
Some activities will require extra gear. Whether it’s micro spikes for hiking on snow and ice, skis, kayaks, or a jeep rental, you will need to consider whether you own gear you want to bring or if you want to rent. Stores like REI offer gear rentals. This is perfect if you are traveling from afar to get to Colorado and don’t want to bring too much with you. I also have a few things I can provide for my couples. This includes things like extra backpacks, headlamps, and I even have two paddleboards you can borrow.
Finally, you can choose to do your activities through various companies. If you want to go dog-sledding, for a hot air balloon ride, or a helicopter tour, you will need to make reservations through a company to do so! Don’t worry, I will certainly help you through the process of working with the best companies in your location!
