Jamie and Chase | A surprise Steamboat Snowboard Proposal
Jamie and Chase headed out for a day of snowboarding at Steamboat Ski Resort in Colorado. They were celebrating their dating anniversary, but little did Jamie know, she would soon be engaged! Chase planned the most magical Steamboat snowboard proposal!
The journey to make this proposal happen was quite a story! Be sure to read on to find out how the ring almost did not make it in time for the big moment!!!

The Plan
Chase reached out to me with the most romantic plan for his surprise proposal to Jamie. He wanted me to help set up a picnic on the slopes. The picnic was complete with champagne, flowers in her favorite color, purple, cheese and crackers, and chocolate. In addition, he created a proposal playlist. He asked me to play Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra during the big moment! After some planning, we nailed down the perfect location! One of the ski runs has a picnic table overlooking the mountains. Everything was set to go and we agreed on a time that he would bring Jamie down the specific ski run after I had set everything up on the picnic table.
The day before the planned proposal, Chase called me to let me know there were some issues with the delivery of his custom-designed ring. After a lot of brainstorming, we came up with a plan to have the ring sent overnight to the FedEx facility in Steamboat Springs. Of course, Chase did not want to ruin the surprise by making a stop at FedEx on their day of snowboarding. So, it was my job to go pick up the ring! I always make sure that this special moment goes smoothly for you. Undoubtedly, I was willing to do everything in my power to make this work for him! After I picked up the ring and secured it safely in my backpack with the rest of the supplies for the picnic, I headed up to the spot to get set up and let Chase know when it was all ready!
The only thing left to do was to wait for them to come down and get engaged!
The Steamboat Snowboard Proposal Moment!
As Chase and Jamie made their way down the mountain, Chase stopped Jamie and led her to the spot. At first, she expressed concern that they were ruining someone else’s moment because she had no idea all of this was there for her! Soon, she started to realize what was about to happen. Chase led Jamie over to the prime spot for capturing the moment, and he got down on one knee with the ring I left for him on the table. Jamie was so surprised and so beyond thrilled. She said yes and knocked Chase onto the snow in her excitement!
Then, it was time to celebrate! They popped their champagne, enjoyed their picnic, and we took some fun photos. Their joy and love for one another was seriously unmatched!!!
Hitting the slopes
After enjoying their picnic and champagne, it was time to get in some runs as a newly engaged couple! The joy radiated from these two! They snowboarded and I skied down and we rode the lift together. It was the most fun day! When you propose, it does not have to be just a quick moment. You can turn it into a whole day of celebration!
An evening of celebration after the Steamboat snowboard proposal
Finally, after a day on the slopes, Jamie and Chase headed to their condo rental to change into their outfits for a nice dinner to celebrate their engagement! They wanted a few photos in the village next to the slopes. It started to get dark, but the string lights and fire in the village made for some fun blue hour photos!
Congratulations, Jamie and Chase!
