Brandon and Steven | A Breckenridge Elopement at Sapphire Point Overlook
When you think of an adventure elopement in Colorado, you probably imagine some epic mountain views, maybe some snow, and hiking boots! Brandon and Steven’s Breckenridge elopement photos had all three!
Brandon and Steven are good friends of mine. I met Brandon back in our freshman year of college many years ago. After we graduated from college in New York, I moved to Colorado and Brandon moved to Massachusetts. A few years passed and Brandon met Steven. Eventually I got to meet his boyfriend at the time, on a trip back to the East Coast. I loved Brandon and Steven together! I’m not sure I had ever seen Brandon as happy and true to himself as he was with Steven. They definitely make such a perfect couple!
After four and a half years of dating, Steven completely surprised Brandon while they were on a hike with an adorable picnic and a proposal! When I heard about their engagement I definitely screamed in excitement! I immediately texted Brandon and congratulated him. I told him that if they ever came to Colorado, I needed to take their engagement photos. Well, Brandon and Steven ended up getting married at the courthouse, but they did plan a ski trip to Colorado a few months later! We all decided it would be fun to take some elopement photos for them in Breckenridge. Since they didn’t have any formal photos from their courthouse wedding, it was the perfect way to celebrate their marriage!
The Breckenridge Elopement Photos
We started out their session on Main Street and in the village of Breckenridge where they had been skiing that week. Then, they changed into their formal attire and we went up to Sapphire Point Overlook for sunset photos. It was a dream! I think their love for one another definitely shows through each image. Even though Brandon and Steven are planning to have a more traditional wedding in the future, I know these photos will be a special reminder of their early parts of their marriage!
