Danielle and Josh | A snowy Copper Mountain Colorado Ski Elopement

A spring skiing day turned into a winter wonderland for Danielle and Josh’s Colorado Ski Elopement! The snow came down almost all day, but that did not stop Danielle and Josh from having the best ski wedding at Copper Mountain!

Getting Ready and Writing Vows

It was an early morning start at a local condo rental. A fresh layer of snow covered everything outside, and we knew there was more snow to come. Danielle got ready for hair and makeup while I took photos of their beautiful details. Danielle and Josh also wrote their vows into their vow books from the notes they had written on their phones. This is such a fun little activity to include in the morning of your elopement day to really get excited about reading your vows! Soon enough, it was time to get dressed. Even though they were getting ready in the same space, Danielle put her dress on in a separate room to leave the final touches a surprise. Then it was time to head out for the first look!

First Look

Danielle and Josh had their first look just outside the condo rental so they could drive over to the ski resort together. The freshly snow-covered trees created the perfect setting for this special moment. Josh’s big smile on his face says it all! The sun kept trying to peek out as we got ready to head over to Copper Mountain, but the forecast was still calling for snow!

Hitting the slopes for a Copper Mountain Colorado Ski Elopement

As soon as we arrived at Copper Mountain, the snow was already falling pretty heavily. We took the shuttle from the parking, where plenty of excited spectators congratulated the happy couple! When we made it to the base area, we hopped in the gondola and were ready for some skiing! As you can see, the snow just kept coming down more and more heavily, but it created such a magical feel to the day. Danielle and Josh both rocked being out in this weather like absolute champs. They truly embraced the day and had the best time!

The Ceremony

After enjoying some time on the slopes, it was time for the ceremony. We picked a spot off of one of the trails where there was a nice opening in the trees. With the snow continuing to fall, we could not really see the mountain views, so snowy trees were the next best backdrop for their ceremony. Danielle and Josh had a snowball fight before they got ready to say their vows. These two are seriously too adorable together! They read their heartfelt vows, exchanged rings, and of course shared their first kiss as husband and wife! To celebrate, they also popped a bottle of champagne. It was all smiles and laughter from these two! After some celebrating, it was time to hit the slopes again, now officially as newly weds!

We all enjoyed some more time skiing some runs and the sun even managed to peek out for just a moment to show off some of those Colorado mountain views! To end their fun elopement day, Danielle and Josh had their final celebration with a shot-ski! These two truly embodied the full spirit of a ski elopement in Colorado!
