Gabby and Ryan | A snowy day in Colorado Springs made for a beautiful Garden of the Gods Winter Elopement

Gabby and Ryan planned a beautiful intimate wedding in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by their closest family and friends. Heavy snow arrived for their February date, but that did not stop them from having the best time for their Garden of the Gods winter elopement! They had a beautiful ceremony on the deck of their house rental in Colorado Springs and then we headed over to explore Garden of the Gods for their photos!

Are you dreaming of you own winter wonderland wedding in Colorado? Let’s chat!

Getting Ready and Details

As the snow fell, Gabby and Ryan got ready together with their families in an absolutely stunning house rental! Both of their adorable sons got to wear suits and so did the family dog! When it was time for Gabby to put on her dress, Ryan made sure to be in a different part of the house so as not to spoil the surprise of her walking outside for the ceremony. Gabby’s mom helped zip her into her dress and then her dad came into the room for a little first look with his daughter. He immediately began to tear up, it was such a genuine moment! Once everyone was dressed, it was time to brave the cold and snow and head outside for the ceremony on the deck!

A snowy ceremony and family portraits

Even with the snow falling, you could still see the amazing views from the deck of the house rental. It truly was the perfect spot for an intimate wedding ceremony. Everyone gathered outside and waited for Gabby to come out with her dad for the ceremony! Ryan admired his soon-to-be-wife as she walked towards him with snow quickly covering everyone. Ryan’s mom officiated the heartfelt ceremony, Gabby and Ryan exchanged rings, and shared their first kiss as husband and wife! We took a few quick photos outside and then headed back in for the rest of the family portraits. It sure was a cold one! Luckily the brick wall of the fireplace inside the house made for a great spot for these photos!

Garden of the Gods Winter Elopement Photos

After family photos, it was time for some bride and groom portraits! Gabby and Ryan wanted photos of just the two of them in Garden of the Gods! No amount of snow was going to stop them! We drove over from the house rental into Garden of the Gods. It was so peaceful with no one else around as the snow continued to fall. Something about fresh snow on those red rocks always gets me, it’s just stunning!

We took a little hike to one of my favorite locations within the park. If you’re looking to elope in Garden of the Gods, I would love to share this hidden gem with you! Watching this beautiful couple share laughs and just be in the moment even though I know they had to be freezing was so heart warming! We ended our time together for the day near Balanced Rock. The next day, Gabby and Ryan also had an amazing adventure session in Rocky Mountain National Park. You can check that out here!

Congratulations, Gabby and Ryan!
