Loveland Pass Elopement

Colorado Loveland Pass Elopement

Kelsey & David | Loveland Pass Elopement in Colorado

Not even the coldest fog stopped Kelsey and David from enjoying their very intimate Colorado elopement!

Kelsey and David decided that they wanted a day about just the two of them for their wedding! They both love hiking and camping together and both lived in Colorado for most of their lives. Therefore, it only seemed fitting to elope in Colorado, the state they love! They both wanted to have Colorado’s beauty as the backdrop for their wedding photos. After we discussed a few options for stunning locations with mountain views and alpine lakes, they decided a Loveland Pass elopement was perfect!

Ceremony at Pass Lake

Loveland Pass is one of Colorado’s beautiful mountain passes that can be accessed by car. There are also stunning alpine lakes that you can get to with a short hike. We started Kelsey and David’s intimate elopement with a little hike to the lakes up near Loveland Pass. Together we reached their ceremony spot on a rock that overlooked one of the lakes. The weather started out nice and sunny and then clouds started to come and go, which made for some dramatic lighting on the surrounding mountains! Kelsey and David read their vows to one another. They were both definitely emotional and David offered Kelsey a tissue from his coat pocket. It was just the sweetest moment! Then, after they read their heartfelt vows to one another, they exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as husband and wife!

Final celebrations!

After they were officially married, we walked around the lakes some more for couples photos and enjoyed the mountain views. It started to get more and more chilly and the winds were picking up. This didn’t stop Kelsey and David from taking in every moment with joy as they reveled in being newly-weds! As we hiked back to the trailhead, some fog rolled in. Even though it was definitely cold, it was also so beautiful as some of the sun still managed to peak through!

We planned to drive up to the top of the pass for some more photos and to pop some bubbly. However, when we made it to the top, we could not see anything because of the fog. So, we decided to drive down to a pull-off that was not at the top of the pass where we could still see a little bit of the mountain views. That’s where Kelsey and David celebrated some more and popped their champagned! It was a beautiful elopement day and one that Kelsey and David will definitely remember forever!

Congratulations, Kelsey and David!
