Getting Ready
Donna and Joe rented the most beautiful house for everyone to stay during their trip! While getting ready, Donna’s sons spent time with Joe and Donna’s daughters and soon-to-be new daughter spent time with her. I loved the little details they included in their day, especially that they both chose to wear converse sneakers. Donna even bedazzled her pair all on her own! Wearing comfortable shoes is definitely a great choice when you are having a mountain wedding! Donna’s daughters helped her put on her dress and bedazzled converse and Joe tied up his laces in preparation for their first look!
The First Look
Donna and Joe had booked their ceremony reservation right at sunset, so they knew they needed to have a first look in order to take pictures before the ceremony. They shared their first look outside on the patio of their house rental. It was quite emotional for both of them!
Photos at Sapphire Point Overlook
After the first look, it was time to head over to Sapphire Point Overlook. There, last touches were done to finish getting ready. Joe’s best man helped him put on his boutonniere and Donna gave her daughters and almost step-daughter matching bracelets. Including little moments like this into your wedding day is the perfect way to make it extra special! We took some portraits during the perfect golden hour light. Everyone was definitely getting excited and soon it was time for the ceremony!
Sapphire Point Wedding Ceremony
Donna’s sons walked her down the aisle to the Sapphire Point ceremony spot. Even though their ceremony was in October, there was already some snow on the ground! You never know what kind of weather you might get when you elope in Colorado! Even though Joe had already seen Donna during their first look, everyone got emotional again as she came down the aisle. It was so beautiful! They read their vows that they wrote in cards that they picked out for one another and exchanged rings right as the sky was turning colors. They got a stunning sunset. It was certainly an unforgettable ceremony. After, we took some more photos and even the moon appeared! It was the perfect intimate wedding and such a beautiful celebration of their two families becoming one.
The views here at Sapphire Point are truly incredible! What a gorgeous wedding.
