Garden of the Gods Elopement | Autumn and Cody

Autumn and Cody reached out to me and let me know that they were taking a weekend trip to Colorado from Kansas to elope! They got engaged in Colorado two years ago, so they wanted to get married in Colorado as well! I asked them if they would be interested in a mini hike as part of their wedding day and they were completely on board. I picked one of my favorite spots in Garden of the Gods for their elopement. It was such a dream!

Autumn and Cody started dating when they were just teenagers! They also have two beautiful daughters together that joined them for their elopement. It was such an exciting day for them to finally get married!

Getting Ready

Autumn and Cody wanted to have a first look, but were driving to Garden of the Gods together. Autumn did not want Cody to see her in her dress so she got ready at the car while Cody waited in a spot nearby. One daughter stayed with Dad, while the other helped Mom get into her wedding dress. It was such a sweet moment when she helped zip up the dress next to the open car door. Very untraditional, which I think is the best way to experience a wedding day!

First Look

Once Autumn was dressed, she was ready for the first look with Cody. I think both of their nerves immediately slipped away when they had their special moment. It’s so heartwarming to witness couples that have been together for so many years still having such an amazing spark between them.

Garden of the Gods Little Hiking Elopement

As we hiked up together, two baby dear and their mom were on the trail. Everyone enjoyed watching them until they ran off into the trees! Autumn and Cody said their vows privately, so they just wanted some beautiful photos to remember this special day. Sunset at Garden of the Gods is definitely perfect for that! With Pikes Peak as the backdrop and incredible rock formations, Autumn and Cody were in awe and they enjoyed taking in the views. I certainly enjoyed taking pictures for them with these amazing views as well! As the sun disappeared behind the mountains, Autumn and Cody signed their marriage license to make it official! Even though they had been together for so many years, finally solemnizing their marriage was a big moment.

Congratulations, Autumn and Cody!
