“Nothing makes me happier than what we’re doing right now.”
These are the words that Bryan spoke to Hannah as they stood in many feet of snow next to a frozen and snow-covered lake as snow quickly fell from the sky and only continued to come down harder. Hannah and Bryan’s Lake Dillon winter elopement proved to be quite a memorable day for them and their closest family. It was a day they will certainly never forget.
Hannah and Bryan decided to take a road trip journey from their home in Tennessee to elope in Colorado! Before their elopement day, they spent time enjoying the beauty that Colorado has to offer. The morning of their special day, they got ready in a lovely cabin in the mountains in Fairplay. The sun was shining, but we knew there was snow in the forecast!
Bryan’s Mom helped him with his boutonniere, and Hannah’s Mom helped her into her wedding dress. Her dress held the most special fabric heart stitched into it from one of her Father’s shirts. Hannah made sure to keep her Dad close to her heart on this big day after losing him unexpectedly just a few months earlier. It was definitely emotional and his memory was honored through this beautiful heart as well as charms on Hannah’s bouquet.
Once everyone was ready, including their precious dog wearing his little tux bandana, Hannah and Bryan had their “first look”. Bryan was so happy to see his bride! Then it was time to head over to Lake Dillon. We all had to drive over Hoosier Pass as the snow started coming down. Let’s just say it was quite an adventure! Thankfully we all made it down to Frisco safely for Hannah and Bryan’s ceremony next to Lake Dillon. They exchanged vows and then enjoyed their little wedding cake on a blanket in the snow, using adorable forks that read, “I do”, “Me too”. The little details that went into their elopement day were just perfect!
While their wedding day was probably not quite what Hannah and Bryan had expected (we didn’t get those mountain views of the ten mile range like we had envisioned), but it was certainly magical as the snow came down! I definitely think it made for some pretty dreamy, Winter photos!
Congratulations, Hannah and Bryan!
Brrrr; it looks chilly at Lake Dillon in the wintertime, but I’m betting their love keeps them warm! So cute!!
how precious!!! I love that they dressed their dog up too! And the little forks!!! GAHHH
This looks like such a fun celebration! You’ve captured all the in between moments of their day so well and love the details like the custom forks.
I love the details you’ve added to this post. Sharing these meaningful things show that you care about more than just taking photos. Great job!
I love their story you told, and that quote!! So precious. I love that they had so much fun on this snowy day, and that looks like a Whole Foods cake— same one I had for my own elopement! So yummy. Beautiful photos and wonderful story of these two!
That first quote from them kills me. Lake Dillon is such a beautiful place to elope in the winter!!
