When Joo got ready for a day of snowboarding at Vail with her boyfriend, AJ, she had no idea that she would soon become his fiance! He planned the perfect Vail surprise proposal!
I had the pleasure of photographing the most magical day that AJ planned for his soon-to-be fiance! They were visiting Vail, Colorado for a snowboarding trip. They flew in from California and their trip started with a surprise proposal on the slopes! AJ brought Joo up to the top of Eagle’s Nest at Vail Ski Resort. I waited with my camera, ready for the moment he got down on one knee. Joo did not suspect a thing and was in complete shock when AJ proposed. Even with a mask on her face, I could tell just how happy and excited she was! After we took a few photos and the newly engaged couple reveled in their excitement, we celebrated with a little apple cider “champagne” pop!
Snowboarding Fun in Vail
Now we were all ready to take some turns in the snow! AJ and Joo snowboarded while I was on my skis, capturing some fun action shots for them! AJ and Joo enjoyed the snow, kissed in the trees, and snuggled up on the gondola! It was already the perfect morning more AJ had more planned to make the day even more special and I was lucky enough to photograph it all for them!
Exploring Vail Village After the Surprise Proposal
After fun on the mountain, AJ and Joo went back to their hotel to change into something a little fancier than snowboarding jackets, pants, and helmets, and we went to Vail village for a lovely lunch. Celebratory champagne and mimosas were a must for these two love birds! After lunch we strolled around the village. AJ found a little flower shop where he bought a sunflower for Joo. It was so beautiful and a great spot to take a photo of that gorgeous ring! Check it out below!!!
