Habiba and Muk traveled to Colorado to celebrate their 5-year wedding anniversary and wanted some couples portraits to commemorate their trip and this beautiful milestone in their relationship as wife and husband! We had the best time during their Sapphire Point anniversary session!
Habiba and Muk had never been to Colorado before this trip, so they were very excited to try skiing and visit the various resorts in Summit County! We had discussed a few different locations around Lake Dillon and the Frisco area. We ultimately decided on Windy Point near Breckenridge, followed by some photos at Sapphire Point Overlook!
When Habiba reached out to me about their photos, she mentioned that she really wanted to make sure we picked a spot that had snow. Their session was being planned for mid-December and we had a pretty dry start to the Winter. I was not sure how much snow there would be. With early season conditions, I had no clue what to expect. I warned Habiba that in sunny Colorado, early in the Winter, I wasn’t sure if there would be much snow yet. Well, the snow listened to Habiba’s wishes. It started snowing just in time for their Sapphire Point anniversary session!
It was perfect, because it also snowed on their wedding day! The snow gently fell as we enjoyed taking some magical photos. The mountain views were a bit obscured, but I always say, falling snow makes for truly beautiful images. It was like a winter wonderland! Habiba and Muk started out in adorable, casual outfits that were perfect for walking around as the snow fell. Some of my favorite shots I took of them are with the two of them running together, I just loved the joy on their faces! Then, we drove up to Sapphire Point Overlook and Habiba changed into the most stunning dress! She looked like a goddess in this winter scene and the mountains even started to peak out for us a bit! I had so much fun photographing these two! They are such a kind couple and I truly loved meeting them!

It’s true, you never know what the weather will be like in the mountains. That isn’t always a bad thing, I like to think that it makes every journey to the mountains unique 🙂
