Briana and Christian traveled to Breckenridge for a skiing and snowboarding trip with some family and friends. Briana had absolutely no idea that Christian told her cousin about his plans to propose. After a zoom meeting, together with Briana’s cousin’s help, Christian and I planned the perfect Breckenridge snowboard proposal!
I love Breckenridge Ski Resort for surprise proposals on the slopes. There are so many beautiful areas for this perfect moment! Christian and I had discussed a few possible locations on the mountain, and we ultimately landed on a spot next to Ten Mile Station. This is definitely a good spot if you are looking for trails for beginners. Since Christian and Briana were on the trip with a few people who had never skied before, Christian wanted to make sure that everyone could make it to the spot for the proposal. The views from here are definitely amazing!

The Surprise Proposal
The day of the proposal, Christian and Brian rode up the lift with their friends and family up to Ten Mile Station. Then, someone in the group suggested a group photo with the view next to the lodge. Of course this was all part of the plan to get Briana in position for Christian to propose! After getting set up for a group photo, everyone stepped away. Finally, Christian got down on one knee. Briana was in complete shock and immediately started to cry. It was the cutest moment and everyone cheered, including some skiers passing by.
Later Briana mentioned that she really thought a different couple would be getting engaged on this trip. She truly had no idea that it would be her. So, Christian clearly did a great job keeping it a complete surprise! After putting the ring on Briana’s finger and giving her flowers that Christian asked me to pick up, it was time to celebrate!
Celebrations
Christian and Briana received hugs from everyone congratulating them on their engagement and then popped champagne to celebrate. Briana completely soaked Christian when she excitedly sprayed the champagne! I think champagne pops are a must for a surprise proposal!
Hitting the slopes for a Breckenridge Snowboard Proposal
Once they finished taking in all the excitement, it was time to hit the slopes as a newly engaged couple. We explored some of my favorite and scenic spots of the various peaks that Breckenridge has to offer and of course took some adorable photos on the ski lift! These two definitely know how to shred on the mountain and it was the perfect way to have the best engagement day.
